Description | Consider the building location Olomütz, Villa Konstant is probably designed by Paul Engelman, according the "raumplan" principles. The plan had 5 floors and 14 different levels. Due to the different levels all the interior walls had to be thick to carry the construction. Contrary to the Wittgenstein house, that Engelman designed together with Ludwig Wittgenstein in 1926, this exterior look is very classicist. In 1926 Loos receives a letter in Paris from Friedrich Pater that Mr. Konstant still wants to build he villa. There was little material available. We did tree versions, mainly different on the outside, to find out how the interior spaces would fit. From each of these plans we show one picture. |
