Description | This house seems to be for Loos himself while leading the work on the building of the Schwarztwald school at the Semmering. It looks like a regular house with one living and two sleeping rooms on the first floor and four working rooms on the second floor. The sleeping rooms have alcoves for the beds. The living room has two lowered niches one to enter and one for the fire place. All together it forms a fluid unity of rooms with different heights. Gravagnuolo speaks of a balloon frame while Rukschcio sees it as a wooden fake construction. |
